VICTORIA III was my first horse and I loved her dearly. She could be a little temperamental, and would have perhaps enjoyed point to pointing a little better than eventing and show jumping. She was very fast and could turn on a sixpence and as she was a very sensitive ride, this could occasionally end in disaster.
I did get to grips with her, and was the only person prepared to ride her for a long time. I believe she had a lot of potential but spent her time fighting the world around her (including the horsebox). Her dislike for travelling and her sometimes unpredictable performance (from sheer brilliance to high speed demolition derby)
resulted in me having to say goodbye to her. She has now found a home at Beaufort polo club, where she hopes to become a mum (it will be the most disciplined foal in the world!).
